The waterfront is my favourite part of Wellington. I LOVE it. But they are constantly changing it. Mostly in good ways, but I get nervous about all the plans I read about in the paper. The latest far fetched plan is to build some sort of Maori meeting house behind this statue. Open space in Wellington seems to be a crime and the coucil is constantly schemeing about ways to fill it and make a profit.
