Freezer paper stencil

So after the crayon fiasco I decided to try freezer paper stencils. Freezer paper is a novelty craft item here, $1.39 a metre in craft stores. I bought all I could find, some fabric paint and dug up some fabric I had that I didn't have a use for and set to work. Once it dried I peeled off the paper....and the paint had bled. Bugger!! I'm hoping it was just the type of fabric and I'll try again this weekend but shit, that day was not a good one for crafts. After both those 2 mishaps my sewing machine bit the dust. Grrrrrrrr.

Crazy crayons

So I decided I'd try my hand at making Crazy Crayons....

So far so good. Looks easy enough

Success! They're a bit shit but they look and work pretty much as they should. Look a bit closer though and you'll see some of the hearts aren't exactly heart shaped. Why?.....

What I assumed was silicone was actually just rubber shit and it curled. Oops.

Better luck next time...maybe...

!!!!!!

For me the year starts on November 1st and ends Oct 31st. I needed something to kick start me so I made a Year of Action. This is my second year doing that. And wow what a year! November (the very end) I met my bf, December (the very start) I moved in with him. And now February and I got a job! Woohoo! At last I got a job and it's in retail which although a bit boring is hard to get into in New Zealand. So I am stoked about it. AND I got offered the job at the interview, that's how well I did! A big craft store (I love crafts) and 15% store discount baby!!!

Glass marble magnets

This photo isn't great and the magnets were different polarities so kept spinnig away from each other hence the messiness of them but here's the latest thing I made - glass marble magnets with my photos on them. First try, lots of work to do but still...

A bit small but omg funny

DIY macro studio

This thing will definately make you take some professional looking macro shots. I can't wait to try making it. It costs next to nothing and the more supplies you can find around the house the less it costs.
